Claim fees are a version of a deductible and what you would pay for each claim you send to us.

All of our Home Plus plans offer the same amount of yearly coverage up to $15,000 on heating and air, electric, plumbing, and appliances. 

You can choose your claim fee amount ($125, $250 or $500) and incident limits which changes your monthly payment. The higher your claim fee amount is the lower your monthly payment is.

You will also see a list of requirements that will help guide you on what is needed to get your claim approved.  

You must first attempt to repair your unit through policy before we will issue a replacement. The unit must then be deemed irreparable and documented in a detailed report by a certified technician. If not, you will receive the amount of what it would have cost to repair even if a unit, system, appliance, etc. was replaced.

To receive the full claim amount the systems must be less than 15 years old and 10 years for appliances.  Anything older the policy holder will receive 50% of the amount.  

An incident limit is the maximum amount you are allowed to file for at the time of each claim. You are allowed multiple incidents adding up to the total Limit of Liability.

Policy holders are capped at the maximum payout per claim filed based on which premium tier they fall under.

Yes, you simply email support@mytend.com to cancel and you will receive a response within 1-2 business days. If you paid annually, you'll receive a full refund if you cancel within 30 days of signup and a pro-rated refund otherwise. If you paid monthly, you'll receive coverage until scheduled next payment but will no longer be charged at that time.
