If not, you will receive the amount of what it would have cost to repair even if a unit, system, appliance, etc. was replaced. To receive the full claim amount the systems must be less than 15 years old and 10 years for appliances.  Anything older the policy holder will receive 50% of the amount.   #### [ What is a claim fee and why is it important? ](https://mytend.com/home-tnd-affiliate#collapse3-widget_1675097162059) Claim fees are Tend's version of a deductible and what you would pay for each claim you send to us. #### [ What is the difference between the Tend Home Plus plans? ](https://mytend.com/home-tnd-affiliate#collapse4-widget_1675097162059) All of our Tend Home Plus plans offer the same amount of yearly coverage up to $15,000 on heating and air, electric, plumbing, and appliances.  You can choose your claim fee amount ($125, $250 or $500) which changes your monthly payment. If your covered equipment is unable to be repaired but not due to any contracted exclusions, you will be eligible for reimbursement of a replacement with an equivalent model with similar features, functions, capacity, size. #### [ What is an incident limit? ](https://mytend.com/home-tnd-affiliate#collapse7-widget_1675097162059) An incident limit is the maximum amount you are allowed to file for at the time of each claim. You are allowed multiple incidents adding up to the total Limit of Liability. Policy holders are capped at the maximum payout per claim filed based on which premium tier they fall under.
